All I Want for Christmas!
This year I don't want anything for Christmas. Well, there are many things that I want but I don't need and so I've decided that all I want for Christmas is to help someone else. This year, all I want for Christmas is clean water for someone. So, if you wanted to give me something, or even if you didn't, just take some time to visit my Charity for Christmas page and give towards clean water.

I can't believe I wrote this
And only last Feb!?
After talking with an acquaintance via Facebook about Christians showing love compared to Christ and His love; I just wanted to say, I think Jesus was probably very "hot" in his own time.
Now, I'm not talking facial features or anything physical, but come on ladies, what's the thing we notice most about men? Not their "bad boy" sides, yes, that dangerous side may be attractive for a minute; but one of the top things you notice is their love to those weaker.
We go "awww" when the boy loves his mother and sisters and take care of them. We feel that sneaky smile on our faces when the boy is courteous and kind to those around him, and don't tell me that you don't take notice when the boy remembers a special occasion.Jesus was all that and more! He was popular -- whether it was people following him to kill him or to hear him speak. He was kind -- he healed the sick, was gentle to the persecuted. He was considerate and he was compassionate. He was also a bit of a "bad boy", most likely labeled the rebel with a cause, the guy that went into the church and upturned the tables because they were doing wrong in the house of the Lord. Called the Pharisees names and told them exactly what he thought of their "tradition" placed above their Lord.
Such a controversial figure, but then such a kind and loving person. He was smart -- he knew the scripture, he could interpret and argue it.
Every adult woman knows that when they are looking for "that guy" they want those characteristics and personalities in that person. A reliable friend, an "alpha male", someone that's not a push over but someone that still loves unconditionally. So I conclude, that in Jesus's day he was probably not good looking but he was probably very hot :) hehehe ....

Extreme Home Makeover
Mortgages, Scholarships, completely new homes! These are just some of the things that Extreme Home Makeover does for families.
It's amazing the amount of money that you have to spend in today's society in order to just, live! No wonder people are so stressed out. Money is everything to support a family and to give them a comfortable living, and I'm not even talking about "keeping up with the Joneses" but just living and raising kids.
How can this change? How can it work so that parents are home more with their kids than stressing over deadline? So that young unmarried and single people can enjoy their youth and still make a living?
How can our society change so that the hard working folks are rewarded for their hard work instead of not seeing most of their money after everything else is taken out? How can society change so that it's more a community of workers instead of a selfish and sometimes parasitical society?

A taste of heaven
We always say that something is a "little piece of heaven" when we experience some kind of euphoria, which was stimulated through some situation.
For me, rocking-chairs can sometimes do the trick. Sure, you're only rocking back and forth and going nowhere, but the gentle rock lulls you and brings about a sense of calm that makes you want to say, "Ahhhh ...".
